Preview, import and publication

Local preview reads your file in this tab. During GitHub sign-in you may choose a ten-minute encrypted handoff. Choosing Import uploads a private working copy. When validation succeeds, the original becomes part of your workspace and its backups. Published source files, guides and attachments are available to readers under the site’s current access policy.

Temporary files from pending or failed imports are scheduled for deletion within 24 hours of upload. Restoring a backup can require uploading a pending file again. Failed import diagnostics may be retained for up to 90 days. Older backups follow their original rotation schedule.

Reader requests

Try-it holds entered credentials in tab memory and sends them to the selected API when you choose Send. Pro page counts are aggregated by site, page and UTC day. Search and password limits use a site-specific hash of the request source.

Product measurement

Preview timing stays in your tab until you import a file. At import, HuiAPI can record time spent previewing and signing in. Product events use internal identifiers, outcome categories and durations to measure publication, sync and paid access. Event records expire after 90 days. The report contains aggregate counts and timings.

Sites and workspaces

Deleting a site or workspace takes its publications offline immediately. The Owner has seven days to restore it. Restored sites require a new publication. Domain bindings require fresh verification.

After the recovery window, content is removed through the backup verification process. Older backups may still include it until they rotate out. Retired site addresses stay reserved.

When Pro expires

Password-protected sites and sites above the Free allowance pause. The Owner has a 90-day retention window to export the content or restore eligible access. After the window, cleanup follows the backup verification process.

Accounts

Transfer or delete the workspaces you own before closing your account. Account closure removes your profile, login credentials, sessions, incoming invitations and memberships. Documents you contributed to other workspaces stay with those workspaces.

Transaction and audit records

Closing a workspace archives its identifier, payment records, refund decisions and transaction references so delayed payments and disputes can still be reconciled. Published changes and deletion events may retain an internal actor identifier for audit. Retired publication and site deletion logs are kept for up to 180 days.
